Nokia Announces US Availability of 2 New Smartphones

Nokia Announces US Availability of 2 New SmartphonesAs confirmed by Nokia, it's E72 and 5800 Navigation Edition smartphones will now be available in market across America, both will be sold unlocked and SIM free, and buyers looking to use the phone must do so with a wireless service which they will have to purchase separately from operators such as AT&T and T-Mobile.
Despite being the largest mobile phone maker and distributor in the world, Nokia's US market share is significantly less, as compared to some other competitors. With the introduction of the new phones, the company is looking to change the situation and expand more into the market.
Like most of its other smartphones, the E72 and the 5800 are based on Symbian OS.
The E72, with a full QWERTY keyboard and a 2.4 inch display, supports Mail for Exchange as well as IBM Lotus Notes Traveler, in addition to up-to 10 different e-mail accounts. It also offers IM facility from the home screen directly.
The 5800 Navigation Edition, on the other hand, features real-time, turn-by-turn navigation, a touchscreen and a camera which can be used for video calls.
The E72 and 5800 Navigation Edition have been priced at $469 and $299, respectively.
